The Behavior Technician is a paraprofessional that provides behavior support services to children and teens with autism. The technician follows a behavior plan while working directly with a client, and receives ongoing guidance and support from their clinical supervisor. In this way, the technician helps the client develop every-day communication, social, and living skills.

The Behavior Technician provides direct services to a child or teen consistent with the client’s behavior plan, collects behavioral data as required by their clinical supervisor, prepares session notes, and maintains timely communication with caregivers and clinical supervisors. The technician also collaborates with other members of the client’s treatment team to assist in identifying and meeting client goals.
A bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science is required. Experience with children or teens with autism or other developmental disability is preferred. Experience implementing behavior plans is preferred. Current registration as a Behavior Analysis Interventionist in Oregon is highly preferred.
Individuals interested in this position who are not currently registered as a Behavior Analysis Interventionist in Oregon must complete a 40-hour on-line training course in Applied Behavior Analysis at company expense, pass a final test, and pass a background check to become registered as a Behavior Analysis Interventionist in Oregon. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Must be comfortable working with children or teens who display behavior problems. Must have a valid driver’s license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation. Must pass a TB test.
Hourly pay of $15.50 to $21.50 /hour.
